Disco-Freaks are back at Cantin with disco on vinyl. An evening for anyone who wants to unwind with great music, food, and drinks right in the heart of Varvsstaden. Behind Disco-Freaks is Chris Davies, one half of the vinyl DJ duo that started in London in 2013 and has since played internationally at clubs and festivals. Expect warm, soulful, and danceable vinyl music with a distinct feel-good vibe.

Niklas + Joakim (Move On Up / Heart Beats)

With 20 years of record collecting, 20 years of DJing, and 20 years of friendship, Nicklas and Joakim dive into their musical worlds. Expect a deep, energetic vibe in the realms of hip-hop, dub, rare grooves, and house.

This Saturday, SEKVENZ will be serving up grooves from Brazilian funk house, jazz house, and afro house. Behind SEKVENZ are Johan and Jonatan, a DJ duo who burst onto the scene in 2021 and have been playing at various events and clubs ever since. Expect rhythm-heavy, warm, and danceable music that will make it hard to stand still.

DJ Morticia is a familiar name on the vinyl scenes in both Copenhagen and Malmö. She runs Klubb Beatmaker and is one of the founders of the Vinyl & Hangout event. With roots in soul, jazz, funk, and R&B from the ’60s and ’70s, she often focuses on female artists, but her record collection also includes carefully selected gems from all corners of the world, ranging from Neapolitan funk to French disco and Latin grooves.

The Elias Källvik Trio is coming to Cantin with live jazz in a trio format. Elias Källvik is a well-established figure in Malmö’s jazz scene and has performed with jazz and soul acts, among others. Together with Simon Petersson on double bass and Kristoffer Rostedt on drums, the trio delivers jazz that combines presence, swing, and musical finesse.

Funk Off Sundays featuring Hallis Placebo

Hallis Placebo is back with Funk Off Sundays, where various DJs and selectors explore the many facets of funk. The event runs from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Every other Sunday, Cantin’s speakers are filled with funk from all corners of the world, from Arabic and Brazilian funk to country-funk and jazz fusion. Family-friendly hours, good food, lounge chairs, and music for both relaxation and dancing.
